Children’s Programming

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
The Sheboygan Falls Memorial Library partners with the Sheboygan Falls School District to offer our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Upon sign up, your child will receive a tote bag and free book. Keep track of the books you read with our reading logs. Completed reading logs can be turned in at the library front desk for rewards.

Preschool Storytime & Babytime Storytime
All storytimes are held in the Storytime Room located in the Children’s section of the library. Pre-school Storytimes are held Thursdays at 10:00 am. Babytime storytimes are held Wednesdays at 10:00am, for newborns to 2 years (older siblings are also welcome!) Check our Events page for upcoming Storytimes.

Lego Day
Designed for elementary-aged children, Lego Day is held Thursdays from 3:00-4:45pm in the Storytime Room. Builders use Lego kits for hands-on problem solving and creative building, either through free play or challenge cards. Completed builds are kept on display until the following week.

Reading Dragons
Reading Dragons is an ongoing reading challenge for readers ages 5 and up. By sticking to regular reading goals, participants can earn collectible creature cards that they can use to play games with friends. Stop by the library’s circulation desk to register and pick up your starter kit today!

Drop-in Programming
A variety of drop-in activities are available throughout the year, such as take-home craft kits, scavenger hunts, coloring sheets, and puzzles. Drop by to see what we have going on!
Adult Programming

Fireside Book Club
The Fireside Book Club meets on the second Monday of every month, at 1:00pm and again at 6:00pm. Book selections cover a variety of adult genres including nonfiction, historical, and popular fiction. Those interested in participating can pick up a copy of the current month’s selection at our library’s circulation desk.
All-Ages Programming

Summer Reading Program
The Summer Reading Program runs for 6 weeks every summer and is open to kids, teens, and adults. Participants track their reading and earn special rewards for completing challenges. The 2026 Summer Reading Program theme will be Plant a seed, read! Information to register will be announced in late Spring.

Seed Library – Seasonal
Grow something new with our Seed Library! Browse a wide variety of fruit and vegetable seeds, each packaged in small, convenient envelopes to help you start or expand your home garden. No cost or prior sign-up is required to participate. The Seed Library will be available in Spring, while supplies last.

Collection Displays
Do you have a unique collection? Whether it’s vintage postcards, colorful vinyl records, quirky toys, or rare stamps, we want to showcase YOUR passion at our library! Participants may display their special items in one or both of our glass cases for one month. For more details or to sign up, please give us a call or stop into the library today.

Puzzle Table
Take a relaxing break at our community puzzle table! Patrons are invited to stop by anytime and add a few pieces to our ongoing jigsaw puzzle. Unwind, challenge your mind, and contribute to a shared project. Visit often—each completed puzzle is quickly replaced with a new one to enjoy!
